Secretary of Revenue Piyush Singla, who is also the Nodal officer for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023 along the Pahalgam Axis, walked the entire Yatra route from Chandanwari to the Holy Cave on July 7 and evaluated the preparations that have been made for the pilgrimage.

Singla observed the extensive medical preparations and spoke with officials from security agencies, mountain rescue teams, fire fighting teams, and the like during the visit. He emphasised that high-quality medical facilities be conveniently located at regular intervals throughout the Yatra route.

He also stressed the importance of RFID technology, which allows for close supervision of all Yatris and guarantees their safety during the journey.

The Nodal Officer checked on the availability of water and power, as well as the cleanliness of the track and camp facilities, during his on-foot inspection. He contacted the Pony Wallahs, Pithus, and Bhandara proprietors to urge them to do their part in ensuring a successful Yatra.
