Ganderbal, May 31st: Project Head AT&T, Amir Yousuf Kochi gave a lecture to students from all over the university at the Green Campus of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) on “How to Plan for Start-up and Legal and Ethical Step” on Wednesday.

Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah, Director of Research and Development, addressed the audience and said that encouraging students to think creatively and take initiative was the driving force behind the event. To ensure that graduates create jobs rather than seek them out, “the Government of India has prioritised the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship among all the Higher Education Institutions,” he said. Prof. Farooq Shah discussed India’s rise in the Global Unicorn Index, noting that the country’s unicorn population is growing. He hoped that the pupils would learn from the examples of those who had already found commercial success. Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah further requested that the IIC schedule regular meetings between accomplished businesspeople and students to inspire the latter to pursue entrepreneurial endeavours.
