An alert has been sent to the general public to help them avoid any potential hassle caused by traffic congestion on the designated routes during the conference.

From 10:30 a.m. until 2:20 a.m. on May 22, 2023, traffic will be rerouted off of Boulevard Road between Nehru Park and Gupkar up to Kralsangri.

From 8:00 a.m. until 22:00 p.m. (local time) on May 23, 2023, traffic will be rerouted around Nehru Park, Gupkar, and Kralsangri along Boulevard Road.

Those drivers should choose the Dalgate, Rainawari, Hazratbal route instead of the Boulevard Road axis if they want to go to Nishat, Shalimar, or Harwan.

To facilitate traffic flow towards Nishat, Shalimar, and Harwan, checkpoints would be established at Badyari, Nehru Park, Gupkar, Kralsangri, and Nishat for all such vehicles.

Similarly, drivers coming from Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat, and the surrounding districts heading towards Lal Chowk should use the Foreshore-Hazratbal route rather than the Nishat-Boulevard Road axis.

Shalimar, Nishat, Kralsangri, Habbak Crossing, Duck Park, and Habak Crossing will serve as traffic assistance locations for all of these cars as they make their way to Lal chowk.

Visitors to the Mughal Gardens and other attractions should adhere to the traffic caution.

Tourists and locals alike should leave Nehru Park through Dalgate, and everyone should stick to one direction from the UNO office and CD Hospital all the way to Gagribal and Buchwara road.

Instead of the Foreshore Road, drivers coming from Guiab Bagh, Zakoora, Naseembagh, Habbak, and the surrounding regions should use the Habak – Dargah – Khanyar route to Lal Chowk.

Parking on the shoulder of the road is prohibited; drivers should instead use authorised parking areas. Vehicles that are illegally parked will be towed.

In cases of emergency, the quickest route must be permitted. In the event that residents want help, they are asked to call the Traffic Police Control Room No. 103. (KNO)
