SRINAGAR, KDC 24 JUNE: Tomorrow, at the ‘Sheri Kashmir International Convention Centre’ (SKICC), the Governors of Punjab, Banwarilal Purohit, and Tamil Nadu, R. N. Ravi, will attend the concluding ceremony of the famous Cultural Festival.Cultural festival “Vitasta,” presented by the Union Ministry of Culture and the North Zone Cultural Centre in Patiala, is the third and final event in a trilogy of events. As part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme, this three-day spectacle, whose name comes from the ancient Vedic term for the Jhelum River, has the lofty goal of encapsulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary notion of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India).

On Sunday, there will be a huge celebration to mark the end of this wonderful event.

Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit will be the event’s principal guest, with Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi also in attendance.

One of the highlights of the closing event will be a spellbinding performance by Saurabh Jadu and Group, but there will be a wide variety of other engaging cultural activities as well. Their beautiful vocal talents will charm the crowd and leave an indelible mark.

Tigulbandi, featuring the harmonic synthesis of Kashmiri instruments like the santoor, rabab, and guitar, will be performed as a unique performance to add to the event’s attraction and keep the audience captivated.

Ustad Shafi Sopori, a qawwali singer known for his remarkable talent, will also perform on the programme, adding to its allure.

The Bollywood orchestra will also perform some of the beautiful songs that were shot in Kashmir. (KDC)
