May 13th, in Srinagar: On Saturday, the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board launched an investigation into claims of money misappropriation at a shrine in the Rayil Gund region of Kangan, in the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir.

According to a report from news agency KNO, the Waqf board has formed a three-person investigative team to investigate contributions made beginning in the year 2000.

Ziyarat Shareef Rayil Gund has urged the committee to look into claims of stolen money and property.

The investigation team consists of Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, and Nazir Ahmad Wani (the supervisor).

The committee has been given seven days to report back on the directive..
