Srinagar, June 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) has put out a demand for a festival-specific vacation package to be made available to working-class women in the government sector as well as the commercial sector.

In a statement, the Chairman of the JKCSF, Abdul Qayoom Wani, stated that on the special occasions of significant festivals like Eid, women are required to do a significant amount of labour inside their houses, and as a result, they need more time and energy to satisfy the requirements of the festivities. Chairman Wani said that women, in particular at the time of Eid, are obligated to undertake a great deal of labour in their houses and to tend to the concerns of their families and the children living there.
