Srinagar, 19 May: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Jammu and Kashmir students’ Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG-2023.

According to a statement issued by Dr Sadhna Parshar, senior director Exams at NTA, the NTA has decided to cancel the CUET (UG) — 2023 examination planned for May 21 to 25, 2023 in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Being sensitive to the needs of candidates and to assist students in Jammu and Kashmir, the NTA is investigating the possibility of establishing temporary centres in Kashmir,” according to the announcement.

The NTA has determined that the CUET (UG) — 2023 would henceforth be held in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir beginning May 26, 2023.

According to official estimates, 87309 candidates from the Jammu and Kashmir UT have been registered.

“This is a phenomenal increase in the number of registered candidates over the previous year,” according to the announcement.

The NTA has urged JK students to check the NTA website(s) www.nta.ac.in and https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ for the most recent examination information.
