The police ask people in Srinagar to put CCTV cameras to stop theft

In response to thefts and break-ins, Srinagar police asked people on Wednesday to put CCTV cameras, calling them the best way to solve the crimes.

Srinagar police said on their official Twitter account that people who can afford it should put up CCTV cameras because they are the best way to investigate and solve a case.

“There have been thefts or break-ins in homes or shops in the city, but there were never any CCTV cameras around at the time. Some cases were closed, and people got their money back. “Police are telling everyone who can afford it to install CCTV cameras, as they are the best way to investigate and solve the case.”
