Jammu, May 29: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha said on Monday that nothing can stop the UT from reaching new heights of growth and success. He expressed optimism that the UT of Jammu & Kashmir will soon experience the same growth, development, and tranquilly that Kashmir had.

The news outlet Kashmir News Observer (KNO) stated that the LG, speaking to the crowd following the inauguration of the Jambu Zoo, remarked that J&K is changing and changing for the better. “Development is ongoing at all hours in the UT. Jammu is seeing similar transformation to that of Kashmir. Over 3200 kanals of land and at a cost of Rs 62.17 Crores, we now have the biggest zoo in north India,” he added.

The LG of Jammu said that the Bala Ji Temple will be dedicated on June 8 and that a riverfront would be constructed at Tawi. The people of the area, he added, must take on the burden of duty and contribute to growth and development as the UT government alters Jammu’s destiny.

Meanwhile, the Jambu Zoo will have several animals, observation spots, an amphitheatre, a gift shop, parks, natural walks, rest stops, and BOVs. According to Jammu’s department of wildlife, admission is free for the first week.
