Cab driver perishes in the Kupwara tragedy

On June 15th, a vehicle carrying four women and a 10-month-old infant plunged down a canyon in the Targain hamlet of the Budhal region of the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing two of the ladies and injuring the others.

On Thursday morning, an automobile travelling from Targain to Samote plunged into a steep valley near Targain village.

Two ladies, named by authorities as Shah Jahan, wife of Mohammad Nazir, and Shenaz Akhter, wife of Mohammad Altaf Shah, were killed instantly in the collision.

Ayoub Shah, son of Nabi Shah, Akbar Shah, son of Mehandi Shah, and a newborn girl, 10 months old, were all hurt.

The wounded have been transferred from CHC Kandi to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri, where their prognosis is reportedly grave.
