In accordance with the applicable legal provisions, a complaint was lodged at the Baramulla Police Station.
Srinagar, July 06:Two people were arrested police in Baramulla after they allegedly harassed a girl at Zanana Park, Khawajabagh.Aqib Salam Bhat @Ponty, son of Abdul Salam Bhat, and Yasir Ahmad Bhat, son of Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, both of Fatehpora Baramulla, are accused of harassing and molesting a girl (name withheld) in Zanana Park, Khawajabagh, and then fleeing the scene. This information was relayed by a police spokesperson.
“In this regard, a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation was initiated,” he added.
The information was sent along to the DySP Hqrs Baramulla, Altaf Ahmad, who directed a police raiding force commanded by the SHO PS Baramulla to the several locations. He stated, “After the intense efforts, both the involved persons were arrested and have been transferred to police station where they remain in custody.”
The matter is still being investigated.
