Srinagar, 12 June: Dr. Owais Ali Wani, creator of the SKUAST-K incubatee company, and a young scientist, has been asked to speak at the UK Biochar Research Centre on the topic of residue management strategy.

SKUAST-K’s Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship Centre (SKIEE Centre) is where Wani will discuss “Decentralisation of waste management,” a unique effort by an incubated firm for a residue management plan.

Together with Enchar from the University of Queensland, he is the sole person from Asia working on this Green project at the UK Biochar Research Centre. Earlier, he received India’s Department of Science and Technology’s (DST) Young Scientist Award.

Prof. Haroon Naik, Director of Planning and Monitoring and Director of the SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship Centre (SKIIE Centre), and his staff have extended their congratulations to Wani for expanding the reach of the SKUAST-K innovation ecosystem on a global scale.
