Jammu, 22 June: On Thursday, Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar claimed that despite J&K’s phenomenal progress from August 5, 2019, Article 370 was only transitory and still existed for 70 years. He added that with J&K’s full incorporation into the Union of India, the vision of Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan, and Ek Nishan held by Shama Prasad Mukherji was realised.

The Vice President of India, remarked that Article 370 was transitory and yet lingered for 70 long years when he spoke at the convocation of Jammu University. To paraphrase, “We are happy today, it not there in J&K,” he stated. Aik mulq mei dou nishan, dou Pradhan nahi chaleingay, the dream of Dr. Shama Prasad Mukherji, has come true today. With Jammu and Kashmir’s full incorporation, the whole region is now “Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan, and Ek Nishan,” or “One Nation, One Flag.”

The Vice President said that once Article 370 was repealed, Jammu and Kashmir saw unprecedented development. “J&K’s membership in the Union has opened the door to a tourist boom, new investments, and overall growth. Jammu and Kashmir will become a centre for higher learning. According to him, all of India’s best universities—from IIM to IIT to AIIMS—are now located in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Vice President said that the magnificent vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, prevented him from writing Article 370. Following the abrogation of the 370 laws, 200 state laws were abolished and 100 were changed. Construction of new roads and widespread economic expansion are both in evidence. He went on to say that India has the fastest-growing economy and is leading the way in digital transformation, citing the recent completion of the Banihal tunnel, the Chenani-Nashiri tunnel, and the world’s tallest rail bridge across the river Chenab.

We have more people online than the United States and China combined, at 700 million. Democracy is thriving and growing in popularity. We’ve all grown up to be proud Indians now. Nobody would be permitted to slow Bharat’s ascent, he said, adding, “We haven’t seen Bharat of today as ever before. We have a fully functioning democracy based on our Constitution. Our system of government is democratic from the local Panchayat level up through the States and finally to the Central government. The political ecosystem in the United States is remarkable. “Today, we find Indian genius all over the world,” he stated.

The Vice President said that false narratives are spread in a “orchestrated manner, by forces inimical to India,” but did not specify which countries or individuals were involved. It’s not taken seriously by all of us. If the majority does not speak out, then no one will ever speak up again. These evil plots would fail miserably in our country, he promised.

The Tourism Working Group meeting during the G-20 summit in Srinagar went quite well. All of our dreams will come true if we keep dreaming, he added. The Vice President has said that all corruption stakeholders have had their escape routes blocked and that “all of them are accountable to law.”
