Windstorm destroys house in Sopore

Sopore, June 25: A windstorm and heavy rains on Sunday night caused some damage in Sopore and the area around it.

Reports said that the strong weather totally destroyed the roof of Showkat Ahmad Hajam’s newly built home in the Rehmatabad Hardushiva area of Sopore. Strong winds and heavy rains caused damage to apple trees in different parts of the Zaingair area.

But no one was hurt or killed, as far as anyone knew.
