13 June, Srinagar: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been watching the steadily worsening electric power supply to homes, businesses, and factories with growing alarm.
According to a statement, people’s lives in all walks of life are being severely disrupted by the unreliable power supply, which includes regular breakdowns and unannounced shutdowns. “Get in touch with the Chief Engineer; he avoids answering questions regarding the current annoying power supply system. Industrial/business/traders/tourist facilities are enduring unexplainable losses as well as emotional torment because of frequent interruptions in power supply, on top of the miseries experienced by homes.

Therefore, the KCI would like to ask the government to carefully consider the issue and the problems it causes, and to take steps to correct the system so that all sectors of society have access to constant, reliable electricity.
