On June 24 at 9:30 a.m., Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated ‘Balidan Stambh’ at Srinagar’s Partap Park.
Shah, who is in Jammu and Kashmir for two days, visited the city center’s Lal Chowk area with LG Manoj Sinha and other high-ranking officials, and there they set the cornerstone for the “Balidan Stambh,” a symbolic pillar built to honour the heroic achievements of the security forces.
On Friday, the Home Minister launched the “Vitasta festival” and set the cornerstones for many new infrastructure projects.
Yesterday evening, Shah presided over a meeting to discuss citywide security.
“Conducted a full audit of security procedures in Srinagar. I’m pleased to see that the government is taking precautions in many different areas at once. Maintaining calm and order in Jammu and Kashmir is a top priority for Prime Minister Modi.
