A bus overturns in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, injuring 33 people

Pratapgarh, November 28: After a bus carrying passengers from Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, to Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, overturned late on Monday night, authorities reported that at least 33 people were wounded.

Three of the wounded were reportedly in serious condition when they were transported to the district hospital by ambulance and truck.

The bus, which was traveling from Mandsaur to Pratapgarh, belongs to Jakhar Travels, the police said. Near Hathuniya village, the speeding bus lost control and flipped over, according to reports.


When the accident occurred, there was a scream inside the bus, and people hurried to the scene to save passengers by shattering the vehicle’s glass windows.

A police crew from the Hathunia police station responded to the information and hurried the passengers to the district hospital.

At the district hospital, administrative authorities and Rishikesh Meena, an additional superintendent of police, also arrived and assessed the situation.

ASP Meena said that the wounded are now receiving treatment at the district hospital.

While the precise reason for the mishap is yet unknown, he said that a burst tire was the main contributing factor. (ANI).
