Speaking extensively, all of the dignitaries covered a wide range of topics related to gender-based violence, including its causes, various forms of discrimination and violence based on gender, proactive and effective measures to end it, victim-accessible legal remedies, the necessity of publicizing and reporting cases of gender-based violence, and the critical importance of raising public awareness of it. Slogans were also used during a demonstration against gender-based violence.

The Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, the essential psychological and emotional assistance for victims, and the provision of efficient services to enable women to improve their social and economic standing were among the other topics covered by the speakers.

In order to empower women under the NRLM National Rural Livelihood Mission’s “Umeed Scheme,” several self-help organizations have taken the initiative to start self-sufficient businesses for low-income women in Budhal Block’s most remote and hilly locations.

In the remote villages of Block Budhal in the Rajouri district, several jobless women launched their own enterprises.
