Srinagar, December 22: On Friday, the people living in Beerwah, in the Budgam district of Central Kashmir, demanded that the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) provide bus service from Jahangir Chowk to Beerwah as soon as possible.
The need arose from the inexplicable termination of the previously established bus service on this route, which left travelers stranded. “Despite the initial relief when the service was introduced, locals were disheartened when the buses suddenly stopped plying the route,” said the residents.
Many residents—including students and workers—are now facing transportation challenges as a result of the sudden termination. Unable to get to their offices and universities on time, they are calling for a quicker return of this vital service.
Resident Ab Hamid said, “We are now awaiting an answer from the relevant authorities and are hoping that SRTC bus service will begin on our route soon so that we won’t have to endure future hardships.
