The people of Jammu and Kashmir, according to Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, have changed their minds about responding to strike summons from Pakistan, thus there are no longer any in the Kashmir Valley.

Singh, speaking to media in Srinagar on the eve of a G20 summit, recalled a time when a strike call was issued from Pakistan, prompting a complete closure of all public services in the city.

People in Jammu and Kashmir “don’t pay any heed to such strike calls now,” he added, indicating a shift in attitude.
He said, “The delegates will return with the message that the false narrative about Jammu and Kashmir that was created by some vested interests no longer exists.”

Saying, “India has witnessed growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last nine years,” he went on to say that the people of J&K, particularly the young, don’t want to keep themselves away from possibilities and successes. (KNO)
