20 May, Srinagar: On Saturday, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that the next G-20 summit in Srinagar will be a great opportunity to showcase Kashmir’s legendary hospitality to the world.

The LG told reporters that the inauguration of the Jhelum Riverfront at Rajbagh marked the completion of six kilometres of the Riverfront and that more construction was planned.

Srinagar is seeing global expansion. According to KNO, he also announced plans to build free Wi-Fi zones, bicycle paths, pedestrian walkways, and cafés around the city.

The city of Srinagar, he said, will become a “smart city” in no time at all despite being encircled by water.

When asked about the approaching G-20 summit, he remarked that the people and the J&K government have completed all necessary preparations. Kashmir’s legendary hospitality will be shown during this event, which will attract visitors from all over the world. More tourists will visit Kashmir once the event spreads the word about the region’s beauty and warmth. The LG expressed optimism that the G-20 summit’s success will have a positive impact on J&K’s economy.

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for selecting J&K as the site of the historic event.
