November 28, Srinagar: Most of Jammu and Kashmir had nighttime temperatures above average, despite the prediction of rain and snow. In J&K, the weatherman is predicting “isolated very light rain and snow” throughout the course of the next 24 hours.

The next two days, November 29 and 30, are expected to have widespread mild to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall across J&K. The meteorologist has also issued a “yellow warning” for isolated thunderstorms and lightning in the Jammu and Kashmir area for the next two days.

The degree of care is indicated by four different color codes: orange indicates that government agencies must be ready for severe weather, red indicates that agencies must take action, and yellow indicates that situations should be monitored.

“Partially to generally cloudy weather is expected from December 1st to 6th,” a meteorological department spokesman told GNS.

He said that the city of Srinagar recorded a low temperature of 3.9°C, which was 4.8°C higher than average for this time of year, compared to 3.5°C the night before.

The famed south Kashmiri resort of Pahalgam had a low of 1.2°C, down from 1.5°C the night before. This was 4.6°C below average.

The official stated that Kokernag, which is located in south Kashmir, recorded a low temperature of 2.8°C, which was 0.6°C higher than the area’s average.

According to the official, the low temperature in Kupwara town, north Kashmir, was 3.0°C, which was 4.1°C higher than usual.

According to the official, the world-famous skiing resort in north Kashmir, Gulmarg, recorded a low of minus 0.2°C, which was 2.9°C above usual.
