Srinagar, Nov. 28: The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended the Regional Director of Survey and Land Records in Anantnag until an investigation into his behavior is conducted.
According to Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956, Abdul Hafiz Shah, JKAS, has been put under suspension with immediate effect.
According to an order, a copy of which is kept with GNS, “Mr. Abdul Hafiz Shah, JKAS, Regional Director, Survey & Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Anantnag, is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, in terms of Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956, pending inquiry into his conduct.”
The order goes on to state, “He shall remain attached in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, during the period of his suspension.” (GNS
