December 23, KNS, Jamu: Former Minister and Additional General Secretary of the National Conference, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, denounced today’s savage terror attack on military personnel in the Poonch Sector, stating that it is time to send a clear message to those who commit acts of violence that they will no longer be allowed.

This afternoon, Mr. Sadhotra addressed the workforce at KANGAR TOP BAGRI in the Jammu North Assembly Constituency, stating, “Our hearts go to the families who have lost their dear ones in the call of their duties.” In addition to praising the security forces and police for their bravery and heroism in combating terrorism, Mr. Sadhotra said that they are making enormous sacrifices for the integrity and sovereignty of the nation. He said that terrorism has no place in a civilized society and that actions of this kind, regardless of caste, creed, or religion, should only strengthen people’s commitment to combating terrorism as a shared enemy that poses a serious threat to humankind.

Regarding local issues, Mr. Sadhotra voiced grave concern, stating that the people of the Jammu North Assembly Constituency are experiencing a severe shortage of drinking water due to irregular and scarce supply, that the state of the roads is in terrible shape, and that the BJP’s Double Engine Sarkar is failing to take any concrete action to address these problems. The citizens have reached their breaking point since no one feels responsible due to the administration’s insensitivity and callousness. He went on to say that the service-providing departments’ lethargy had reached frightening heights. Mr. Ajay Sadhotra said that the National Conference would persist in advocating for the broader welfare of the populace and guarantee that their issues are addressed by the government.

The people are the party’s greatest asset, and their support must be directed toward the advancement of all people, regardless of caste, creed, geography, or religion. The speaker said that the National Conference has always upheld the noble principles of pluralistic culture, which has served as a unifying factor among the many regions and faiths. In order to resist the forces of division, he said, this mentality must not merely be maintained but actively fostered. The NC Additional General Secretary urged the cadre members to go out across their regions and energize the party at the local level. Change is mostly up to those in positions of political power, and with their wisdom and insight, the day will come when they are once again in control of their own fate. The true source of power, according to him, is the people, and the purpose of power is to serve mankind rather than to control.

He said that this has been the National Conference’s central political tenet and urged for the cadre to be strengthened at all levels. Those in attendance on the day were Ch Mohd Saleem, Sahil Pandit, Rakesh Sharma, the District YNC President, Provincial NC Jammu, Ghar Singh Chib, the Ex-Corporator Joint Secretary, and Pt. Thoru Ram Sharma. KNS
