Kupwara, Nov. 27: The army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly conducted an operation in the Gushi region of the Kupwara district in north Kashmir, and it was reported on Monday evening that two people carrying firearms and ammunition had been taken into custody.

Four hand grenades, a revolver, and other incriminating material were retrieved from the custody of two suspects who were apprehended during the establishment of a naka in the Gushi region, according to an official, who stated this was done in response to specific intelligence about the movements of a few individuals.

Chinar Corps, meanwhile, said in a post on X that two suspected people were captured today at the Gushi Bridge in Kupwara as part of a joint operation that was initiated by the Indian Army and the JMUKmrPolice based on particular information. Evidence of incriminating material was found, along with four hand grenades and one pistol with ammo. A study is being conducted.
