23 December (KNS) in Akhnoor: Priya Sethi, a former minister and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party national executive, emphasized today that education will play a significant role in shaping India’s future. “Classrooms are shaping India’s future,” she said, highlighting the role that education plays in fostering social and civic responsibility among its populace.
 
The former minister of education, speaking to the students at GD Goenka Public School in Akhnoor, applauded the recent suggestion made by a committee of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to replace the term “India” in school textbooks with the word “Bharat.” To strengthen the country’s historical and cultural identity, she called it a major step forward.
 
The influential nature of the New Education Policy, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration implemented, was also emphasized by the top BJP politician. She said that this approach is an innovative attempt to completely transform the nation’s educational system. She said that its goal is to provide young people with the values, knowledge, and abilities they need to make meaningful contributions to society and the advancement of the country.
 
Priya Sethi continued her discussion on the significance of fostering ideals in the school system, such as empathy, respect, and tolerance. “Our classrooms should be microcosms of a vibrant, inclusive India,” she said. “By fostering these values, we can build a generation that is not only academically accomplished but also socially responsible, driven by a desire to serve the nation,” she said.

Priya Sethi also praised the hard work of the principal, chairman, and school administration for their persistence in delivering high-quality instruction and creating a nurturing atmosphere that supports learning and development. Her emphasis was on the role that these kinds of schools play in molding the futures of our children and the country as a whole.

In his speech, Purshotam Sharma, the school’s chairman, underlined that the institution’s goal has been to teach students the values and skills they need to succeed in a world that is changing quickly, in addition to academic talents.
