Dec. 21, Kupwara: Residents of Tulwari Langate in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir accused private telecom provider Jio on Thursday of providing terrible mobile internet and voice call quality, which has left them in severe difficulty.
According to the locals, bad voice and internet access affect both postpaid and prepaid subscribers.
Consumers of this private telecom provider informed Greater Kashmir that over the previous seven months, inconsistent internet and phone service had caused them to experience severe issues. Local students said that not having access to the internet was really hurting them and that this was having an impact on how well they were studying for various competitive tests.
“Our local student community is the most affected, as they are unable to attend online classes because of bad internet connections,” a Tulwari resident said.
Another resident said, “We have approached the district administration and officials of the cellular company Jio, but every time we were returned with false promises.”
