In the village of Sopore in north Kashmir, a 28-year-old man purportedly committed suicide by hanging himself on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

According to reports, Mohammad Imran Shah, a resident of the Sopore neighbourhood of Wagub, committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence. The deceased’s family discovered him hanging in a room and hurried him to a nearby hospital, where physicians pronounced him dead upon arrival.

In the meantime, officials have stated that the reason for his extreme action is currently unknown; a case has been opened and further investigation has been initiated.
