Sumbal, Nov. 02: In the Bandipora district’s Saderkot Payeen neighbourhood, a 26-year-old woman who had been missing for the previous two days was discovered dead on Thursday.
The lady, named Waheed Bano, the daughter of Abdul Ahad Dar from S. K. Payeen village in Bandipora, was discovered dead this evening close to Wular Gate in the vicinity, an official told the news organisation Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
The official said, “The police arrived at the scene and took possession of the body upon its recovery. Then, after the legal medical procedures were completed, the body was given to the family members for last rites.”
The official said that an inquiry has been launched by the appropriate police station, and inquest procedures have been started. (KNO)
