We have entered the age of billionaire conflict. Recently, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, tweeted that he was “up for a cage fight” with Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. Now, Zuckerberg has posted a copy of Musk’s tweet with the message “send me location.”

The ‘cage battle’ of the tech titans?
A representative for Meta told The Verge that the screenshot is authentic and that its legitimacy “speaks for itself.” It would seem that Musk has given Zuckerberg the location, although indirectly. With those two words he replied, “Vegas Octagon.”

The subsequent tweet seems like an attempt at damage control: “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”

Musk and Zuckerberg’s “cage fight” has been in the works for some time. Musk naturally began tweeting about Meta once it was disclosed that it was planning on releasing a Twitter alternative this year. His first text read: “Zuck my.”

In a recent podcast interview with Lex Fridman, Zuckerberg also made an overt reference to Twitter, stating the microblogging service “should have a billion people using it.”

Who would come out on top if these two got into a fistfight? Musk, now 51, had the upper hand because to his imposing physique and years of practise in “street fights” during his childhood in South Africa. Zuckerberg, on the other hand, at age 39, has already won many Jiu-Jitsu championships and is now preparing to become a mixed martial arts fighter.

The “Murph Challenge” was recently accomplished by Zuckerberg in under 40 minutes. Musk should be wary about challenging Zuckerberg to a “cage fight” anytime soon. Jokes aside, the battleground has shifted to the world of technology since Musk became the owner, if not the CEO, of Twitter. Meta’s next Twitter competitor is just going to ramp the competition.
