“In a brave operation, @IndiaCoastGuard #ALH MK-III evacuates a #Chinese national from the MV Dong Fang Kan Tan No 2 around 200 Km mid-sea in severe night conditions and extreme weather. It was reported to the Indian Coast Guard that the patient was experiencing chest discomfort and other cardiac arrest symptoms.

One of the ship’s crew members suffered a cardiac arrest and high blood pressure on Wednesday, and the Indian Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Mumbai was notified of the situation.

Instantaneous contact was made with the ship, allowing for the provision of critical telemedical guidance. The patient was airlifted since it was the best option for rapid evacuation and subsequent medical management.

CG ALH MK-III successfully removed the patient from the ship.

First aid was provided, and then the patient was turned over to the agent for further medical care.

An international citizen’s life was saved at sea thanks to the heroic efforts of CG ALH and CGAS Daman, which once again demonstrates the dedication of the Indian Coast Guards to their slogan, “We Protect.”
