Mohammad Azam, 55, was the son of Mohammad Khan and his wife, Gulzar Begum. He was named as the person who died.

The victims’ families said that they were living in a house in Dhok Bagla, which is in Upper Kandi village, Kotranka sub-division, Rajouri district. The house was next to Kesari Hill, which is covered in thick forest.

“On Tuesday morning, the deceased’s nephew came to their house to give them some vegetables.” “He saw them lying dead and called the police,” said people in the area and family members of the dead.

They claimed that they were cruelly killed by having their throats cut and their feet and eyes cut off.

“The event has caused panic in the whole area, and everyone is scared,” said Surjeet Singh, a young leader in the area.

A political leader named Mohammad Ayub Khan is the older brother of the victim, Mohammad Azam. He said that 11 members of his family have been killed in similar ways in the last few decades, with most of the killings being terror attacks.

“I am not speaking about the nature of the incident, but the law enforcement agencies and investigation agencies should ensure that all aspects of this case are brought to light,” he stated.

Another place where people protested was at the main chowk in Kotranka, where a lot of people held signs calling for justice.

The protest spot was visited by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh, Additional DC Rajouri Rajeev Khajuria, and Additional SP Rajouri Vivek Shekhar Sharma. They met with the protesters.
