Tragically, on Thursday, August 17th, a minibus travelling along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the Udhampur region of Jammu and Kashmir flipped near Modi Ground, killing all 13 passengers on board.
The gang was headed to Machil Mata in Jammu when the tragedy struck.
Chowki Officer Kamal Kishor and a police party responded immediately after hearing the news.
Udhampur’s Government Medical College (GMC) has an Associated Hospital where the injured yatris were taken right away.
Udhampur’s top cop, the SSP, has acknowledged the event and commended the quick actions of his officers in getting the injured to the hospital.

Samba native and 40-year-old Pooja Devi
32-year-old Samba Jatwal local Nisha Devi

40-year-old Godawari Devi from Jammu
50-year-old Gharo Devi from Reshamghar Jammu
25-year-old Neelu Devi from Reshamghar, Jammu
Jammu and Kashmir native Bharti Devi
Arshiti Devi, 15, from Jammu.
Shashi Devi, a Samba native and 30 years old
Samba native and 45-year-old Rui Dass
One individual was hurt so badly that her hand had to be amputated because of the incident. She needs specialised care, thus she’s been sent to GMC&H Jammu.
