It’s a major issue that might affect national security, so take it seriously.

Aug. 31 (Srinagar): BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh said today that Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, had reached a party-to-party arrangement with the governing party in China.

Chugh said in a statement that it was common knowledge that the Congress had reached an agreement with the Chinese governing party when Gandhi was in charge. The fact that Rahul Gandhi met with Chinese officials for breakfast in Delhi amid the Doklam crisis lends credence to this claim. Chugh criticised Gandhi for “cutting bread with the Chinese authorities” instead of helping the country resolve the Doklam standoff.

According to him, the Congress has to show its hand for the sake of the country since Rahul Gandhi seems to have reached an agreement with the Chinese Communist Party.

Chugh asserted facts from a “signed as well” memorandum of understanding between the two parties. If genuine, he said, “Rahul Gandhi should share the contents with the nation; if not, he must deny that there was any party-to-party understanding with China.”

The issue “has serious national security implications and Rahul Gandhi owes it to the nation to clarify his stance on it,” Chugh said.
