Nov. 1, Srinagar: Under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Entreprises, SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship Centre organised a one-day awareness-raising workshop on the topic of “Idea to Startup and Business Model Canvas Programme” in association with Govt Degree College Verinag.
According to a statement, the programme’s objectives were to educate and raise awareness among young people about the prospects of startups as well as how to develop fresh ideas that may one day become successful businesses.
The keynote speech on ideation and methods for taking ideas to the next level was given by Naveed Hamid, Chief Executive Officer of the SKIIE Centre. Prof. Haroon Naik, Director of Planning and Monitoring, then spoke on the role of innovations.
Sixty jobless young people from various parts of Dooru Shahbad attended the workshop, where a few bright brains immediately shared their fresh ideas with the knowledgeable presenters for mentoring.
The principal of Govt Degree College in Verinag, as well as the staff and attendees, expressed gratitude for the real, practical Idea Awareness Session.
Principal Degree College was grateful for the work that Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-K Prof. Nazir A. Ganai, Director of Research and Nodal Officer MSME Prof. Haroon R. Naik, CEO of SKIIE Centre, Naveed Hamid, and others put into putting on this crucial programme for developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
