A seminary teacher was arrested in Sopore for allegedly sexually assaulting kids

Dec. 20 in Srinagar: A school teacher has been arrested in Sopore tehsil of Baramulla district in north Kashmir on charges of sexual assault on children, a police source said today.

An official told the news service Kashmir Scroll that the police arrested a school teacher in the Sopore area after getting a report of sexual assault.

“An FIR with the number 93/2023 was filed against the person at Police Station Dangiwacha Sopore after the details were looked over,” the official said.

“We are gathering more information about the case and will bring it to light at the right time,” the officer added.
