A trooper shoots himself in J&K after his wife kills herself in Rajasthan

Srinagar, October 19: A Border Security Force (BSF) soldier killed himself in Kupwara district, J&K, after hearing that his wife had killed herself in Rajasthan.

Officials said that Rajendra Yadav, the head policeman of the BSF, was sent to the Kupwara area in the valley. The BSF soldier killed himself with his service pistol when he found out that his wife, Anshu Yadav, had hung herself from a fan in her home in Dheerpur village, Rajasthan, on Tuesday.

Authorities also said that the husband and wife had a fight on the phone before the wife did what she did.

They had been married for eight months. “The BSF trooper’s body will get to his home on Thursday,” the government said.
