Srinagar, August 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Council stated on Wednesday that they are excited about the upcoming visit of Miss World and other pageant winners to Kashmir.
A representative for the J&K Tourism Council told the Daily Wadi Kashmir News Network that they welcome Miss World titleholders to Kashmir because they believe it would help the tourism industry in the country as a whole.
He said that this would motivate the government to invest in better infrastructure and logistics, and would also attract private capital.
He stressed that despite Kashmir’s status as a regional crown gem due to its rich and culturally diverse culture of cultural interaction, there should be no room for breaches. He emphasised the need of considering the feelings of the locals.
