9 October, Mumbai (Maharashtra), India (ANI): Shah Rukh Khan’s security has been upgraded by the Maharashtra government to the Y+ category after he reportedly received death threats.

After the films “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” he allegedly complained in writing to the state administration that he had been getting death threats.

Two police constables had previously guarded SRK, and in addition to them, he had a private security guard with him.

As a result of the High Power Committee’s suggestions, his security has now been upgraded to a Y+ level.

Six trained commandos from the state’s VIP security squad will now always be with Shah Rukh Khan.

In addition to Shah Rukh’s personal protection, four Mumbai Police officers would be stationed at his residence 24 hours a day, according to the police.

‘Jawan’ has redefined box office success, hooking viewers with its compelling plot and top-notch performances, and rewriting record books along the way,’ the director says of the popularity of his flicks.

SRK has become the first actor to have two films with a combined gross of Rs. 1 billion in a single year, with his most recent movie, “Jawan,” and his previous one, “Pathaan.”

The film’s creators recently held a press conference in Mumbai after the film’s success. SRK, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Atlee all showed up to the occasion.

Shah Rukh expressed his joy at the film’s success, saying, “It’s a celebration. Rarely do we have the opportunity to consider a movie for years. Because to Covid and other time restrictions, the production of Jawan has taken four years. Many individuals were engaged in making this movie, notably those from the South who immigrated to Mumbai and had lived there for the last four years while working nonstop on this film, which was the toughest job they had ever done.

Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya make the stellar cast of the film, which is his South helmer Atlee’s maiden Bollywood directorial.

‘Jawan’ was SRK and director Atlee’s first joint project, and it was released on September 7. The movie garnered a tonne of positive feedback from viewers and is now the fourth-highest-grossing Hindi movie.

At the victory celebration for “Jawan,” SRK also announced the premiere date for his forthcoming film “Dunki.”

“We started on January 26, Republic Day (with Pathaan), then on Janmashtami we released Jawan, now New Year and Christmas are round the corner, we will release ‘Dunki’,” the famous actor said.

The movie, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also features Taapsee Pannu as the main female.
