The order, issued by Additional Deputy Magistrate Ramban, Harbans Lal Sharma, said that the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic, NHWs (National Highway), Ramban, and the Project Director, NHAI (National Highways Authority of India), PIU (Project Implementation Unit), Ramban, had recommended stopping traffic. Keeping everyone safe and healthy—including drivers, passengers, and the general public—is the main goal. On November 8, 2023, from 0000 hours to 0400 hours, traffic will be suspended. For the safe launching of girders at the Nashri Viaduct, this brief stop is necessary. During this building operation, all terms and safety precautions must be properly followed. To ensure that the traffic suspension is carried out without a hitch, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic, NHWs, Ramban, will carry out the order.

Traffic resumes after two days on jammu srinagar national highway

An official said the traffic was restored on the road at 9 am after debris of the landslide was cleared from the highway.

Due to rain and a landslip, traffic on the important Srinagar-Jammu national highway was stopped on October 18 and has not resumed.

An official said that the road was reopened to traffic around 9 a.m. after landslip debris was removed.

After a landslip on Monday in the Shalgiri neighbourhood of Banihal, the road was blocked to traffic. The roadblock caused hundreds of cars to get stuck.
