21 Nov., New Delhi: The health ministry reports that 12 people died on Sunday night at Gaza’s Indonesian Hospital, which is purportedly surrounded by Israeli tanks. The post-operative care section was struck, according to hospital director Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, with soldiers stationed only 20 meters away. Gunfire reverberates intermittently across the scene
The Israeli military said that “terrorists,” who reportedly opened fire inside the hospital, were the focus of their troops. International disapproval of the situation has been expressed, with World Health Organization (WHO) chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressing concern at the situation. He posted on the now-defunct Twitter platform X with the following statement: “Health workers and civilians should never have to be exposed to such horror, and especially while inside a hospital.”

Israel is allegedly “tightening its noose” around the hospital, which is situated in the northern section of the enclave, according to health ministry spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra.

According to reports, 200 patients have been transported by bus to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is helping to arrange for the 400 patients who remain to be evacuated.

This occurrence occurs during Israel’s extensive military assault in Gaza, which was set off by hundreds of Hamas fighters attacking over the border on October 7. At least 13,000 people have died in the violence since the retaliatory operation against Hamas started, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
