An accident in Handwara claimed the life of 1 person and left another wounded

Kupwara, August 4: A scooter driver was killed and another was seriously injured when a tractor struck them in Handwara.

A scooterist and his passenger were seriously injured late Thursday night when they were struck by a tractor at Badrah Crossing in the Kralgund tehsil of Handwara.

Waqar Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Ujroo Langate, was one among the wounded who later died after being rushed to GMC Baramulla.

When recently heard from, the other wounded were also doing well under medical care.

The tractor driver has been charged with a crime, and the police have taken him into custody.
