An army soldier near the LoC in Mendhar dies from a gunshot wound

Poonch, Nov. 23: On Thursday, an Army soldier stationed in the Mendhar subdivision of Poonch district along the Line of Control (LoC) passed away from a gunshot wound.
According to officials, the event was likely caused by a bullet that accidentally went off from the dead soldier’s service weapon.
In the Mendhar sub division, “Rifleman Madhu Singh was deployed at a forward location where he received a bullet injury and died,” they said.
According to authorities, “the soldier’s body was moved to a medical facility where medico-legal formalities were conducted.”
