Sher-e-Kashmir The University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) held a session today to let BVSc students know about the dual degree programme that Western Sydney University (WSU) Australia and SKUAST-K are working together on.

The classes were held at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry campus at Shuhama by SKUAST-K’s International Education Centre and the Directorate of Education.

The students talked to members of the International Education Centre, including Prof. Mohammad Anwar Bhat, Prof. Azmat Alam, Dr. Sameera Qayoom, Dr. Ajaz Malik, and Dr. Mudasir M. Kirmani. They gave them detailed information about the Dual Degree Programme, which gives students a unique chance to learn about other cultures and do well in school. An important group of SKUAST-K students, teachers, and other staff members came to the event.

Sensitization was a project that was meant to get the word out about the unique dual-degree course at SKUAST-K. During the training, students were told in detail about the dual degree course, including what it entails, how they could gain foreign experience, and how it might help their academic and professional development. Students were able to learn more about the benefits of the programme and the worldview it offers through the conversations that were sparked by the engaging workshops. Professor M. Anwar, Associate Director of Education, talked about the work that the Vice Chancellor and his team have done to sign an MoU between two well-known universities and make sure that the dual-degree programme is designed in a way that helps students at SKUAST-Kashmir do well in both horizontal and vertical areas.
