On Thursday, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) in Budgam hosted an event as part of the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign. The goal of the event was to encourage and inspire young women who are members of the Schedule Tribe group to pursue higher education and become influential members of their communities.

This event, which was conducted at the Government Model Higher Secondary School Chadoora, was intended to create awareness about the significance of educating and nurturing our girls, according to a statement that was published here by an official spokesperson.

On the occasion, enthusiastic involvement was seen from Principal GHSS, faculty members, ZEO Chadoora, instructors, and students, all of whom came together to promote the worthy cause of gender equality and female education.

The relevance of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ programme was brought to the attention of the community via the execution of a thorough awareness campaign.

Several of the speakers underlined the need to support girl children’s access to school as well as their general growth and development.

The female kids of the Schedule Tribe village were the recipients of a loving and supportive gesture that was offered to them. It was decided to provide them each with a bag as well as a hygiene pack in an effort to make their education more accessible and to look out for their health.

In order to inspire and encourage the young women to follow their goals and ambitions, many speakers and influential members of the community shared their own experiences and tales with the audience.

The DHEW Budgam is of the opinion that enhancing the capabilities of our young women, particularly our daughters, is essential to securing a more secure and prosperous future for our society.

They want to achieve this goal by implementing programmes like “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao,” which aim to remove obstacles and provide females with equal opportunity in terms of their education and their own personal development.
