Srinagar, India, August 18: On Friday, BJP National General Secretary and Party in Charge of Jammu and Kashmir Tarun Chugh lashed out at Pakistan, stating, “Mushaal Mullick’s appointment as minister in the neighbouring country endorses India’s claim that Pakistan is harbouring terrorism and terrorists.”

According to Chugh, Pakistan has always shielded the majority of the world’s most wanted terrorists who threaten India’s national security and independence. According to him, the wife of the exiled JKLF leader Mohammad Yasin Malik has been given a cabinet position in Pakistan’s new government under the leadership of Anwar ul Haq. Chugh remarked, “Once again, Pakistan has shown evidence that this country has been established to harbour terrorism and provide refuge to terrorists.”

He said that although Malik, a feared terrorist responsible for the deaths of security forces members, Kashmiri Pandits, and civilians, is serving a life term in New Delhi’s Tihar prison, his wife has been spreading false rumours about India and its armed forces. Repeatedly resorting to such tactics that hurt the national interest of India, Pakistan does little to rein in groups antagonistic to peace. When Chugh remarked, “We urge international bodies to take cognizance of the matter and stop Pakistan from giving political space to terrorists,” he was referring to the world community.

Mushaal and the other members of Pakistan’s provisional government took their oath of office. Pakistani media said that Mushaal, who has dual citizenship, would not be a full-fledged minister but instead serve as a special counsellor on human rights matters to Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar.
