Srinagar, September 15: The Administrative Council (AC), which convened here, approved the implementation of the Second National Judicial Pay Commission (NJPC) in favour of Judicial Officers. The meeting was presided over by the Lieutenant Governor (LG), Manoj Sinha.

Judicial Officers who on January 1, 2016, were holding permanent or temporary posts in the Jammu and Kashmir State Subordinate Judiciary, and Judicial Officers who had been appointed against any post in the Subordinate Judiciary from January 1, 2016, up to the date of issuance of Jammu and Kashmir Subordinate Judicial (Revised) Pay Rules, 2023 (Implementation) will benefit from the implementation of the Second NJPC, according to a statement issued by an official spokesman

According to him, the decision to implement the Second National Judicial Pay Commission (NJPC) in favour of judicial officers of subordinate courts was based on the analogy of the 7th Pay Commission, and the decision would have a financial effect that is projected to be in the amount of Rs. 75.38 crore.
