Srinagar, September 24: Arhan Bagati, the creator of KYARI, has set out on a quest to bring big-budget film productions to the scenic area in an important step meant to revive the film industry in Kashmir and provide employment prospects for the young.

Bagati is motivated to realise the valley’s latent potential as a background for films after successfully completing the whole filming of a movie in Kashmir for the first time in more than 34 years.

Under Bagati’s direction, KYARI has been working assiduously to develop local talent and increase the area’s visibility in the entertainment sector. The forward-thinking businessman imagines a day when Kashmir is a well-known centre for casting and film production.

Arhan Bagati was recently seen with esteemed actor and director Farhan Akhtar, famous director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (best known for helming blockbusters like “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”), and imaginative producer Ritesh Sidhwani, the brains of Excel Entertainment.

The seriousness of their intention to investigate and fully use Kashmir’s natural beauty and rich cultural legacy for cinematic greatness is underscored by this coming together of brains and creative skills.

Filmmakers have always been drawn to Kashmir’s stunning scenery and diverse cultural history. However, Bagati’s initiatives herald a new era as they seek to empower the local population by creating job possibilities and fostering talent within the entertainment business, in addition to bringing film productions to the area.

The latest film shoot in Kashmir was a success, which has rekindled the attention of the film community in the possibilities of the area for films.
