15 September, Srinagar: The army said on Friday that two people were being detained in the Uri region of the Baramulla district of north Kashmir with weapons and ammunition.

According to a Chinar Corps spokeswoman, the pair was detained as part of Operation Eagle. “On September 14, 2023, the #IndianArmy and @JmuKmrPolice formed an MVCP in Uri, #Baramulla, based on intelligence inputs.

Two alleged suspects were captured. Guns, hand grenades, and other military supplies have been collected, according to Chinar Corps on X. It said, “Further investigation is ongoing.”
