The state government of this country has announced an increase in the dearness allowance for its workers just in time for Diwali.

Just in time for the upcoming Diwali holiday, the state of Assam has announced a significant increase in Dearness Allowance for its workers. As a result of the recent 4% rise in the government’s dearness allowance, state government workers’ DA is currently 46%. The date when the government’s decision will take effect is December 1, 2023.

The government has also specified that the workers would get the remaining amount in two payments, one in July 2023 and the other in November 2023. Two payments will be made, the first in December 2023 and the second in April 2024.

Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi administration has already announced a raise in dearness allowance as a present to the state’s tens of thousands of workers and retirees in time for Diwali. After a total of four percent in increases from the state government, DA is now at 46%, up from 42% before. Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has confirmed this.

In addition, state workers in UP will get a 30-day incentive (to a maximum of Rs 7,000) from the state government. All non-gadget officers, instructors, non-teaching personnel, and contractual workers will get this incentive.
